What our cilents say?
“The Mountain Edge really helped me to reach my athletic potential. Matt’s program took my strength, speed, and explosiveness to new heights. As a converted defensive lineman it was always hard for me to gain weight and still keep my speed and agility, but Matt helped me increase both my size and speed!! MEA really built toughness mentally and physically, Being an athlete himself, Matt knows what it takes to be successful in any competitive arena you enter.”
“Six years out of college, I really feel as though I’ve lost a step on the lacrosse and field hockey field. No matter what I did on my own, I couldn’t mimic the intense training I needed to stay competitive. At “Mountain Edge Athletics”, Matt helped me find my lost quickness and strength through a series of, body weight exercises and plyometrics. He really put me back on top of my game, but without bulking up. I am extremely happy with how fit I am and how good I look! Thank you, Matt!”
“I really wanted to get an edge on my competition and improve my speed, quickness, vertical and agility. I didn’t feel like the normal strength training and running that I was doing for field hockey and basketball was enough. I wanted to be pushed to the limit and get the most out of my athletic ability as possible. I started working out with Matt and it was exactly what I was looking for. He pushed me my limit and gave me that extra step on my competition I had been working to get. My running times improved dramatically both in long and short distances and my vertical increased. My first step was much faster and I felt like I could beat players that I couldn’t before I started working out with Matt. The workouts are never the same and challenged me more than some of my hardest college workouts. If you want to truly compete in college and get the most our of your experience MEA is the place to workout.”
“My name is Rosalyn Bennett and I play for the Chicago Force. The Chicago Force is a women’s tackle football team that is part of the Independent Women’s Football League. I have played for three years, and for the two seasons I’ve had an edge. Two years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Matt Ulrich, former Offensive Lineman for the 2007 Superbowl Champions, the Indianapolis Colts. I was overwhelmed by the wealth of knowledge he had about the game and what I had to do to be able to compete at a professional level. For the last two years I have been working out with Matt at Mountain Edge Athletics, which is the gym that Matt owns. During this time I feel like I was able to gain the edge I needed in order to out-do my opponent.
I have been dealing with injuries to both of my knees and with the help of Matt, I have been able to maintain two fully functioning knees so I could play football. I was able to maintain strength, endurance, and agility while working with Matt as my strength and conditioning coach. I was pleased with the outcome because I did not have to worry about seeing a decline in my performance due to the injuries.
During my career in the IWFL, I have earned myself a starting position for the past three years on the offensive line as a right tackle. I was elected to the IWFL All-Star Team for the last two years and my first year on the team got the award for Offensive Rookie of the Year. I was able to gain confidence in myself so that I was able to compete at such a high level in a sport as physically and mentally demanding as football.
Throughout these past two years, I have been exposed to several comprehensive strength and conditioning programs, constructed by Matt to specifically meet the needs and demands of my position on the field. My srength has improved tremendously. I am at the top of the list for bench press among females at the gym. I am able to bench press weight that I never thought possible. I am bigger, faster, and stronger now, than I have ever been in my whole life.
Matt is my inspiration to do my best at all times in life, and in the gridiron game.”
